Indigo Mason
they/them or xe/xir
Indigo is a spring intern with the Trans and Gender Expansive SRH team with Ibis graduating in May from the University of Utah Honors College. They are currently wrapping up their degrees in Gender Studies and Health Society and Policy with minors in Sociology and Political Science.
When they’re not bagging peaks, Indigo is a Student Leader with the U’s Family Planning Division where they focus on making it easier for young adults to access comprehensive sexual and reproductive care. They created the Pleasure Pack Delivery Service with the U’s Center for Student Wellness to ensure students can access the barrier methods and lubricants they need to have safer (and more pleasurable!) sex.
After graduation, they hope to continue researching sexual wellness with a focus on nonbinary, genderqueer, and trans youth with an ultimate goal of becoming an AASECT-certified sex therapist specializing in gender-expansive care. Understanding the power of holistic sexual education has inspired them to ensure that future sexual health programs will leave no body behind in the curious pursuit towards sexual liberation.
